A question worth sitting with
Who was actually responsible for killing Jesus?
The Romans drove the nails. The religious leaders pushed for it. The crowd shouted for it. And the answer the church gives is somehow bigger than any of them.
Centuries of bad theology have weaponized this question against entire peoples. The honest answer is more uncomfortable, and more universal, than that.
